A perfect 4-night stay, we greatly enjoyed it, the staff was reasonably good and caring, and the location was convenient for walking everywhere we wanted to go.

Close to Lucca though you need transport to get there. Also visited Villa Reale - very mature and well tended grounds. Don't miss the 'green theatre' - hedges and yews cut as stage with side entrances on, seating and even stage lights all clipped into shape! Within walking distance of hotel a terrific walk alongside river - 11 km if you do the round circuit. Seating provided at intervals and places to get to water's edge. Bring drinks and a snack for a leisurely day enjoying nature. Bikes an option. Good restaurant and half board option available.
Swimming pool surroundings lack atmosphere but loungers available and you can move them to shade if desired.

It should have taken us 4 hours to arrive per gps but took almost 11 due to traffic and storm. Our little one was very tired and crying. The lady at the desk immediately hunted down some milk for his bottle and then warmed it for us. That was our first clue about what a wonderful place this was. Breakfast was delicious, staff friendly, beds comfortable. We will be back again when we can stay longer.
Our gps could not find the hotel and we kept trying to call the hotel to ask for directions. Unfortunately we could not get anyone on the phone. I called Booked.net and they tried but also could not get an answer. Booked.net sent them an email and they immediatly called our cell phone from their cell phone. Turns out the storm knocked out all the phone lines. They did say that GPSs had trouble locating them so I would say just get detailed directions to the hotel first instead of relying on modern technology.

Good sized bedrooms and clean hotel. Excellent pool for hot summer days.- Friendly and helpful staff
Limited facilities and only one nearby restaurant. Poor continental breakfast that needs improvement

It was a disappointment due to the fact that it did not match photos - a roadside location with very little Tuscan countryside. Restaurant also disappointed, walled in and did not match the culinary offerings of the area

The location in the countryside, friendly hotel reception staff and excellent breakfast.
Location of the room: we were expecting a room with a view not a blank wall. Unprofessional manner in which a complaint was dealt with by the restaurant manager. Unwelcoming senior restaurant staff.

Lovely surroundings for cyclists and nature lovers, nice pool area and restaurant with traditional Tuscan food. Convenient location for exploring Tuscany. Hotel offers free parking and wifi.
Oh, I just love when the hotel's wifi is so unreliable, it's like a game of hide and seek. Surprise, surprise, it's always hiding!

We arrived and after a smooth booking in ate in the restaurant where they were very helpful with non italian speaking guests and a lactose intolerant child! We had two rooms booked and one smelt very strongly of wet, warm carpet... it was even wet underfoot in areas. Obviously it had been recently cleaned. When we asked for another room they were very accomodating and allowed us to move even though we had alreay showered in the room prior to dinner.
A bit off the beaten track but a gem worth finding for weary travellers.
